He was educated at the Paseo Academy of Fine and Performing Arts from 1989-1993, where he studied acting and directing with a minor study in vocal music and music theory.DeWaynes singing experience is complete from working with popular R&B groups to award-winning gospel artists. From 1982-1995, DeWayne sang with a group, Joy Unlimited, and provided lead vocals for three songs featured on their album, Statement of Direction.
